This stunning centerpiece with crystal bowl is made of gilded silver plate by Elkington & Company in Birmingham, England circa 1878. It measures 18″ wide x 10″ deep x 10″ tall without the bowl. The oval shaped bowl measures 12″ wide x 8″ across and 4″ deep. This empire styled centerpiece has one striking figural guard on either end. They have a lion head and front legs, large wings and a long serpent tail. This centerpiece would add drama to any table setting and is another fine antique offered by Chancery Lane Antiques, Inc.
